CHACARITA MODERNA

Chacarita Moderna is a research project and series of exhibitions centred around the Sexto Panteon - or Panteon Subterraneo - of the Chacarita cemetery in Buenos Aires. A rare modern architectural experiment applied to the funerary world, and Itala Fulvia Villa’s masterpiece. Fulvia Villa was one of the first argentinian female architects and urbanists, on this project she was accompanied by Clorindo Testa, one of Argentina’s most important 20th-century architects.
